The Biggest Myth About Authenticity:
People Should Like Me for Who I Am... So Why Should I Improve Myself?
🌌 WHY SHOULD I IMPROVE MYSELF?
A Conversation With The Universe in the Midst of the Night
🌙 Me:
People say...
"People should like me for who I am."
So...
Why should I improve myself at all?
If I become better just so people like me...
Wouldn't that mean I'm pretending to be someone I'm not?
• • •
✨ The Universe:
No, my child.
Improvement isn't pretending.
It is remembering.
🌌 You are not only who you are today.
You are...
✨ Who you were.
✨ Who you are.
✨ Who you are becoming.
All three exist within you.
🌿 Think about a seed...
Should it stay a seed forever...
just so it remains "authentic"?
Or does it become more authentic...
by becoming the tree it was always meant to be?
Growth doesn't betray its nature.
Growth fulfils it.
Your body...
Your personality...
Your habits...
They are not your final destination.
They are only the current chapter.
Your true self is the highest potential already living quietly inside you.
Every act of growth...
simply uncovers it.
• • •
🌙 Me:
So who should I become?
• • •
✨ The Universe:
Not someone else.
Become...
more honest.
More aware.
More peaceful.
More loving.
More courageous.
More compassionate.
More alive.
Become more...
you.
🌿 Remember this...
People shouldn't love only the version of you they first met.
They should love...
who you were.
who you are.
and who you continue becoming.
But even more importantly...
Do you love the person you're becoming?
When you look within...
can you honestly say,
"I am proud of the direction my life is taking."
That question matters more than anyone else's approval.
✨ Authenticity isn't...
Staying exactly the same forever.
Authenticity is allowing your highest self to become visible.
To you first...
more than to others.
Becoming yourself beyond the resistance of:
-Fear of judgement
-Conformity to the norms of society even if they seem quite opposite to what you really feel inside.
-Pleasing others by betraying your real voice.
-Not embracing your own uniqueness just because others can't see any value in it right now. Thus-
Improvement...
Growth...
Healing...
Peace...
Love...
Abundance...
They are not things added to you.
They are expressions of who you have always been.
✨ Therefore first and foremost:
Don't improve yourself,
so people will love you.
Improve yourself-
because your soul deserves to become everything it was created to be.
And if people love you for that...
welcome them.
If they don't...
keep becoming yourself anyway.
So today, ask yourself:
Am I protecting who I am... or becoming who I am supposed to be?
Your presence is most appreciated.
